The Black Area Rug is Very Classy
"This is one fancy looking black area rug!"
You’re looking for a black area rug, huh? Well, that’s not going to be a very hard task, considering they are everywhere. Now, I’m not saying that everyone has them, nor am I saying that you should not want one, but I am saying that they’re not scarce. There is a reason this is true, though. The nice dark rugs have always been popular because they represent balance in a room, whether it’s the kitchen, the bathroom, the dining room, or a bedroom. Usually, the focus goes straight toward the main feature of a room. When it’s nicely framed by a portion of the carpet, you have completed the look. That’s why it’s so important to get the right one, as opposed to whatever your heart desires.
You may have wanted a nice zebra shag carpet but think about how poor of a choice that would be if you have a classy leather sectional that is brown? It just wouldn’t look right. Also, a woven mat generally does not look right next to a kid’s bunk bed. It’s better suited for an adult. This may seem like annoying rules but they’re there for your protection.
Too many people try to get a huge 9 x 12 and stick it in a little bathroom. Then they put a tiny 6 x 9 (or even smaller) one in the huge open living room. At that point, you’re better off just getting a custom one made. But with all the great oval and square ones made by companies like Home Dynamix, Momemi, and Dalyn, do you really need one? The answer is no, you do not need a custom one. You can find a green and yellow floral, hand tufted modern carpet from Capel if you put our mind to it. A lot of people just don’t want to put in the effort.
So remember, a rug is the ultimate finisher to any room. If you’re going to get a black one, just make sure you have an area that would support the dark, dominating nature of this solid color.
